Ending your Tenancy
If the resident wishes to end their tenancy, RFHA must be given 4 weeks' notice in writing, starting from a Monday. The keys to the property need to be returned to the Association's offices by 12 noon on the date that the tenancy ends.
The resident is responsible for leaving the property in a clean, tidy and satisfactory condition. There should be a clear rent account and no monies owing for any sundry debts, such as court costs or rechargeable repairs. An officer will visit the resident before the tenancy ends to carry out an inspection and will point out if there are any repairs that need to be completed before they move out. The resident will be recharged for any repairs we carry out after the property has been vacated that are considered to be the responsibility of the resident.
