Investing in our Properties
We spend over 60% of our annual repairs and maintenance budget on planned maintenance programmes to keep our properties in good condition.
The chart below shows how much how much we are investing in our properties this year through various planned maintenance programmes.
- New Kitchens and bathrooms – with optional upgrades for our residents;
- New boilers and improved central heating controls;
- Replacement UPVC external doors and windows;
- Testing and upgrading the electrical systems to meet the most recent standards;
- Re-roofing houses to keep them weather proof and the houses warm;
- A 5 year rolling programme of external decoration;
- Adapting our resident’s homes to help them maintain their independence if they become ill or less mobile.
The majority of the planned maintenance programmes are based on data collected during the most recent Stock Condition Survey, which was carried out in 2009. We use this information to help set priorities for future investment in our properties.
