If you want to carry out any improvements or alterations to your home you must ask our permission first. This includes (but is not limited to) things like fitting spotlights, shower, ceiling fans, conservatories, new kitchen or bathroom, replacing windows or doors, laying a new patio, etc. If in doubt please ask.
We will not refuse permission for you to carry out any improvements without a good reason but we will insist that works are carried out to a set standard and within an agreed timescale. Carrying out any work to your property without first getting permission is a breach of your tenancy. If you have carried out any work to your home without getting written permission please contact us so that we can agree how we can resolve the problem. In certain circumstances we will consider giving you retrospective permission if the work you have done is to a good standard and doesn’t breach any planning or building regulations.
