You Said – We Did
You Said, We Did!
So how did you make a difference to Rockingham Forest Housing Association?
RFHA is very committed to working with our residents and we want to offer you every opportunity to get involved and make a change to your association. Therefore we are dedicated to recording all of the changes that we have made as a direct result of your feedback and involvement.
Between 1st April 2009 and 31st March 2010, our residents have influenced the following changes and improvements to our services
You Said
You wanted more support when reporting Anti Social Behaviour issues against non RFHA residents.
We Did
We have revised our ASB policy and now offer support throughout the complaints process with the appropriate agencies.
You Said
You wanted more practical information included in the Starter Tenancy Packs.
We Did
We now include more information about your local area and energy advice in the packs.
You Said
You didn’t like the name RIP (Repairs Improvement Policy), as you thought it was unclear as to what that stood for.
We Did
The programme is now called the Major Repairs Policy.
You Said
You were unhappy with the performance and quality of our Kitchen contractor.
We Did
We no longer work with that contractor and the Repairs Improvement Group helped to select an alternative.
You Said
You were unhappy with the wide time slot for gas safety checks.
We Did
We now only give a 4 hour waiting window and have made it more user friendly.
You Said
The Challenge Group wanted to conduct its own project. They wanted the chance to meet other residents and perhaps increase the members of the group.
We Did
We helped to resource the group’s Tenant 2 Tenant project. This resulted in four new members joining the Challenge Group.
You Said
What you wanted the Repairs Improvement Budget spending on.
We Did
Listened to the reasons for your allocations and amended our spending accordingly.
This is just some of the key You Said, We Did actions that have happened over the past year. We will continue to keep you updated on how your views and input has made a real difference. You will see this format in our newsletter and other communications.
At the end of the year it is very important that we assess all of the impacts that all of our resident involvement activities have resulted in. We also look at how much the events have cost; for this we take into consideration the financial costs, the time dedicated to it – both staff and residents’ as well as any other resources used.
